Brownsville Advocacy Academy is a group of concerned citizens living on the Texas-Mexico border that offers aid and support to refugees in our community.

We offer direct assistance by

• providing survival supplies to those trapped on the international bridges;

• finding temporary housing for migrants awaiting reunification with their children; and

• matching donations to migrants who need assistance with bond funding.

We also offer indirect support by

• ​observing court hearings to document migrants' pleas;

• observing and documenting Customs and Border Patrol actions on the bridges;

• sitting in solidarity outside of court houses during hearings; and

• making our voices heard on behalf of refugees at marches and protests.
